About the fishing cabin

Aboard my houseboat you are assured to be right in the middle of a huge fishing area with countless interesting hotspots within a few minutes walking. You will be staying in a studio in the front of the ship, newly renovated and offering a comfortable double bed, small couch and a bathroom with sink, toilet and rain shower. The place is not huge, but the fish around it are!

Since the apartment offers only a single bed, this place might be more suitable for anglers who are visiting Amsterdam with their beloved one. Then again, if you don't mind sleeping with your fishing buddy, the place might be just the right thing for you.

My houseboat is located super central, only 5 minutes away from Central Station, Waterloo Square and the Red Light District (all good street fishing locations!).

About the fishing

From Central Station it's only a few minutes walking before you reach my houseboat. And in those few minutes only, you have already passed over 10 hotspots to fish for zander and perch. Right in front of the station are wonderful quays to cast a lure of softbait, and on the way to the ship there are various bridges known for larger zander.

Once you reach our harbor, there are many more interesting places to drop your line. Between the boats there are always many perch lurking around and zander hiding to ambush prey fish.

Once you're checked in and dropped your luggage it's time for your first real city fishing adventure. A good place to start is the back of Central Station, on the big water called the IJ. This is without a doubt one of the best fishing waters in Europe when it comes to zander abundance. They may be picky, just like they are anywhere else, but you are assured that they are there. The early morning and late evening hours are always interesting.

Walk into the city to find many more canals with hundreds of bridges that accommodate at least one interesting fish each. There is more water around than you can ever fish during your fishing holiday in Amsterdam for sure!

Look forward to welcome you aboard!

How to get there

From Central Station it's only a few minutes walking to the harbor where my ship is docked. Along the way you will already pass several great fishing spots!

About the area

Our harbor is surprisingly quiet, especially if you look how close it is to the city centre. The Red Light District, Dam Square and Waterloo Square are all within 5 - 10 minutes walking distance. And all these places are great for fishing too!
