About the fishing cabin

Fishing on one of the best waters for pike can be hard work. Casting your lures all day long and landing fish up to well over a meter will make you a tired man at night. Therefore we think it is important to relax and sleep well. No better place than our fishing cabin, located only 300 meters from the waterside.

This cabin has one bedroom with a bunk bed (the lower bed is a bit wider: 120 cm) and one loft with a double bed. This double can be put apart so you have 4 single beds in total, making it suitable for up to 4 guests. Note that the stairway to the loft is quite steep so not suitable for elderly and young children. 

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer,  stove plate, microwave, coffee maker and cutlery and furnishings for 4 people.

The bathroom offers a shower, toilet and sink. In the lounge corner you can relax on the couch and watch tv. Outside is a terrace and a BBQ. 

Final cleaning or bedlinen is not included and you, the guest, have the option to clean yourself before check-out or add the final cleaning and a set of bedlinen+towels/guest to your reservation.

You can park your car next to the cottage and you have access to a shared service building with washing and drying machine. 

About the fishing

Get ready for an unforgettable pike fishing holiday! We mention pike because that is the fish that is the most wanted fish. That is what our region is known for.  The Blekinge archipelago is home to countless large pike, often over a meter in length and not rarely with a weight over 20 lb. Monster fish, lurking around the many islands and ready to swallow any fish that swims by. Or your lure of course...

Lots of variety

The large and clear waters of the Baltic Sea offer lots of variety. You will find shallow parts that are just perfect to cast a large plastic soft bait or - if you are into it - go fly fishing. The cool thing about these waters is that you are able to see the pike coming when they go after your bait. A nerve-wracking moment, every time it happens. There are also interesting rock formations and deeper parts to discover. This way you are ensured to find a wide range of options waiting to be discovered. 

Some hotspots

A few hot spots for pike that we want to mention are the waters around nature reserve Eriksberg and Bräkneån estuary. Another area that should be on your 'to-do list' is Järnaviks bay, including the waters around Tärnö, Bjärnö, and Tjärö.

The rivers Bräkneån and Vierydsån are located only a few kilometers away from your fishing cottage and offer great pike fishing too.

If you want you can also go after perch and sea trout, you are in the right place as well. 

We take good care for our world-famous stocks of pike, which is the reason why we allow only catch and release. So every pike that is caught, has to be put back into the water. Taking perch or sea trout to eat is no problem. 

The best period for pike fishing in Blekinge

Although pike fishing can be done all year round, there are periods that are just (much) better. If you want to go for a hardcore pike fishing holiday, we recommend planning your trip from April til May, or in the months September and October.

No fishing license needed

Since you are fishing in the Baltic Sea, you don't need a fishing license. However, on the rivers, you do need a license. 

If you want to add guiding We now offer a 4-hour guided tour with a local fishing guide as an introduction to your fishing with us.  You will get information of the local area, tips on fishing techniques, popular bait types and hotspots.
The guide operates our special guide boat (5,8 meters, 115 hp) with Minn Kota I-pilot,which means a maximum of 2-3 people plus the guide in the boat. Total price 4000 SEK for 2-3 people. You book this separately and pay on site using credit card. Contact us directly here to check if the guide is available :)

The bathroom is small but functional, with a shower, sink, and toilet. There is one bedroom with a bunkbed. The lower bed is a bit wider (120 cm). In the loft there is a double bed, that can be separated to create two single beds. This makes this fishing cottage rental very suitable for fishing friends who travel together.

    My 14-year-old son and I stayed for 1 week, and we very much enjoyed it. The cabins are clean, and you’ll find everything you need. We rented a boat and went fishing every day. The area is stunningly beautiful, and the waters are crystal clear. We got clear instructions about the boat and bay, and prompt help when we needed it or had questions. Other fishermen renting cabins were also helpful and kind. We will be back in the future.

    Had a great holiday, excellent accommodation and a nice/helpful host, Johan. We had a Linder boat this week, highly recommended. Unfortunately, we didn't catch much.
