About the fishing cabin

Get the best of both worlds: go fishing on one of the best pike destinations in the world and stay in a bit more spacious fishing cottage at only 100 meters distance from the waterside and with a nice sea view!

The fishing cottage offers a master bedroom with double bed and two bedrooms with bunk beds. This makes the cottage suitable both for (larger) families and groups of friends who want to experience a wonderful fishing holiday in the South-East of Sweden.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, dishwasher, cuttlery and dining corner for 6 guests. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, and sink. 

In the lounge corner you can relax after a day fishing, watch TV and get ready for another adventure on the waters of Blekinge. Or even better: have a cold beer on the roofed terrace and enjoy the great views over the water. Here you find a BBQ and outside furniture. 

Final cleaning or bedlinen is not included and you, the guest, have the option to clean yourself before check-out or add the final cleaning and a set of bedlinen+towels/guest to your reservation.

This cabin has no wifi/wlan access.

You can park the car right next to the cottage. 

About the fishing

Pike fishing in Blekinge is what we offer. Not just pike fishing like at home, but one of the best destinations when it comes to both numbers and size of the fish. Fish over a meter are common, as well as weights of 20lb and more. 

The unique salty waters of the Baltic Sea create a unique and healthy home for the pikes that lurk around the many islands and in the open waters - ready to attack anything that swims by. That can be a herring, or your lure!

Lots of variety

The large and clear waters of the Baltic Sea offer lots of variety. You will find shallow parts that are just perfect to cast a large plastic soft bait or - if you are into it - go fly fishing. The cool thing about these waters is that you are able to see the pike coming when they go after your bait. A nerve-wracking moment, every time it happens. There are also interesting rock formations and deeper parts to discover. This way you are ensured to find a wide range of options waiting to be discovered. 

Some hotspots

A few hot spots for pike that we want to mention are the waters around nature reserve Eriksberg and Bräkneån estuary. Another area that should be on your 'to-do list' is Järnaviks bay, including the waters around Tärnö, Bjärnö, and Tjärö.

The rivers Bräkneån and Vierydsån are located only a few kilometers away from your fishing cottage and offer great pike fishing too.

If you want you can also go after perch and sea trout, you are in the right place as well. 

We take good care for our world-famous stocks of pike, which is the reason why we allow only catch and release. So every pike that is caught, has to be put back into the water. Taking perch or sea trout to eat is no problem. 

The best period for pike fishing in Blekinge

Although pike fishing can be done all year round, there are periods that are just (much) better. If you want to go for a hardcore pike fishing holiday, we recommend planning your trip from April til May, or in the months September and October.

No fishing license needed

Since you are fishing in the Baltic Sea, you don't need a fishing license. However, on the rivers, you do need a license. 

If you want to add guiding We now offer a 4-hour guided tour with a local fishing guide as an introduction to your fishing with us.  You will get information of the local area, tips on fishing techniques, popular bait types and hotspots.
The guide operates our special guide boat (5,8 meters, 115 hp) with Minn Kota I-pilot,which means a maximum of 2-3 people plus the guide in the boat. Total price 4000 SEK for 2-3 people. You book this separately and pay on site using credit card. Contact us directly here to check if the guide is available :)

    We spent our family summer vacation there. The cabin is very well equipped and the location is simply indescribable. There are hiking trails right next door and if you rent a boat you can also explore the surrounding islands. We also had a boat with sonar and were out almost every day. Johan, the contact person, is always quick to help if you need something. Thank you for the wonderful vacation in Sweden.

    This was my third stay in the 6 person cabin and it was a pleasant stay again. The cabin has a fully equiped kitchen and a terrace with a beautiful view overlooking the bay. Johan, the owner, was helpful as ever. Whenever we needed help he was quick to respond. The 455 Lindner boats with fish finder and i-pilot front troller are everything you need when you go fishing, the motors are easy to start. I recommend this cabin and its owner to anyone who wants to experience a carefree fishing trip in this beautiful part of Sweden.
